Certificate III In Dance - CUA30111
The Certificate III in dance is perfect for school age students looking to advance their training and bridge the pathway between school and a Certificate IV in Dance.
This entry level qualification reflects the role of a person working in a varied context in the live performance industry, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. Students will be presented with the opportunity to gain industry skills in a variety of different areas, while increasing their technical ability throughout weekly classes.
The units we offer cover a wide variety of industry pathways, to help assist students with finding their passion and chosen career. Students who successfully complete their Certificate III in dance will achieve 70 Stage 2 credits to put towards their SACE Certificate.

Each area of study allows for the student to build the resilience and knowledge required to achieve competency and develop their dance/performance skills. All subject areas combine a variety of practical performance components and theory/knowledge components.
Assessments are conducted by practical in class observations, rehearsals/performances, written assignments, in class activities and knowledge questions

Through participation in classes and successful completion of assessment tasks, students demonstrate competency in the following 13 nationally recognised units.

Acceptance into this course is via audition only.
Our Certificate III program has a minimum age requirement of 15 years.
All applicants must show evidence of previous dance training in a minimum of two genres.
Applicants may audition for the Certificate III in dance via a private audition.
Private auditions include:
- Two solos performed at a minimum of 1 minute
- Participation in an interview with the panel.
The Certificate III in Dance is offered at $2000.

Please note that costing does not include technique classes.
Discounted rate of $1600 for ACPA SACE dance and ACADEMY students.
$500 non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance to the course.
CONTACT HOURS FOR THIS COURSE:
3 hours of theory and 3 hours of technique classes per week over the course of 12 months. 4 x Sunday sessions (times to be advised).
