ACPA MID YEAR SHOW 2016

Where:         Westminster College (Michael Murray Performing Arts Centre)

Tickets:         $20 each (allocated seating)

ACPA’s Mid Year Show is one of our favourite days in the calendar, allowing students the opportunity to showcase their skills learnt over the past semester. It’s a great, fun and relaxed day for both parents and students.

We have two amazing shows prepared for you with each show featuring different classes. Please ensure you purchase tickets for the correct show (the one your child’s class is in). The list can be found below. If you are unsure of your child’s class name please speak to our receptionist. If you/your child are in both shows, you will only be required to purchase 1 lot of tickets. Please purchase tickets for the show that you would like reserved seats for and then forward a copy to This email address is being protected from spambots. Dropping your child off:

Students must arrive 1 hour prior to the show. Students will need to sign in (there will be a tent just to the left of the Michael Murray Performing Arts Centre located in the grounds). Parents are able to walk their child/children to their allocated classroom/change room however not permitted to stay. Please note all volunteers will require a current police check. Please ensure your child has water and healthy snacks. 

Collecting your child:

Students are to be collected by parents at the end of the show from the same classroom/change room.

What to wear:

All students will be required to wear their class uniform when performing.  

  • Baby blue for mini’s, Ballet 1 & 2
  • Black for all jazz & tap classes
  • All hip hop & musical theatre students must have an ACPA t-shirt
  • All mini’s, ballet & jazz students are to have hair in a bun
  • High pony tail for all other students
  • No make up required

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE END OF YEAR PRODUCTION 2016

Our End of Year Production is one of the most exciting events in our calendar. In 2016, there will be a few changes that we would like to advise you of.  

We have hosted our End of Year Production in the Adelaide Festival Theatre for the past 3 years, however as more national musicals are being brought to Adelaide, we can no longer contract the venue. Of course, we are excited that such great shows are coming to town; it just means a few alterations have to be put into place. Our End of Year Production will now be split into two separate shows, a Junior and Senior Showcase of which will be held on different days at different venues. Please see below:

Junior Showcase

Venue: Norwood Town Hall

Date: 4th of December 2016

Rehearsal Time at venue: TBA

Time: 1pm

Tickets: $39.00 (available through Trybooking)

This performance is specifically designed for our younger classes. The show duration and rehearsal commitment is minimal due to the age of the performers. The classes that will be included in this showcase include:

  • Junior Contemporary - Monday
  • Junior Kids Hip Hop - Monday
  • Boys Class 1 – All Saturday classes
  • Mini’s – All Wednesday & Saturday classes
  • Lil Bop - Wednesday
  • Kids Glee - Saturday

Senior Showcase

Venue: Entertainment Centre Theatre

Date: 11th of December 2016

Time: 7pm

Tickets: $49.00 (available through Ticketek)

*This showcase includes all classes not mentioned in the Junior Showcase.

Senior Showcase Rehearsal Dates

Rehearsal Day 1 - Sunday the 20th of November at ACPA

Time: 2-6pm TBC

Rehearsal Day 2 – Sunday the 27th of November at ACPA

Time: 2-6pm TBC

There will be extra rehearsals for those who are involved in the Musical Component of this show. These students will be notified of this commitment closer to the production. These students will need to be available the following dates and times:

Friday the 2nd of December – 5.15-8.15pm

Friday the 9th of December – 5.15-8.15pm

What happens if I have a child in both shows? Does that mean I have to purchase two lots of tickets?

We are aware that some of our valued customers, will have a child in both shows. In this instance, you will purchase the number of tickets you require for the Senior Show through Ticketek. Forward a confirmation of your purchase to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. He will then allocate you tickets for the Junior Show. Please note this is only for students who have children in both shows.

If I have a child in both shows, do I have to pay for two DVD’s?

Each show will be filmed and produced on a separate DVD. If you are purchasing one DVD – the charge will be $35. However if you require DVD’s for both shows, the package price will be $60.
